Hello! Last time I wrote my first blog in my life, but what a response!
There was nothing in particular. Sweat
But the Japanese boy is not discouraged. This time I will write about "Why I moved to Barcelona", which I promised last time. I don't think you're particularly interested, but if even one person is interested!
Originally, I was addicted to overseas, so I wanted to raise my children overseas, and if I could, I would like to live abroad. If I write this, I'm afraid some patriotic people will get angry. . . But actually, I love Japan. When I'm abroad, I'm reminded of the good things about Japan, and I just love it more and more. I have never forgotten the pride of being Japanese.
The 2011 women's soccer World Cup final, Japan vs. USA, watching the game at a completely away sports bar in New York, cheering for Japan by myself while there were over 100 Americans, I was thrown beer. Bitter smile Watching the 2018 soccer World Cup Japan vs. Colombia at a bar in Barcelona, Barcelona has a lot of Colombians, so there were more than 100 Colombians in the bar, but I cheered for Japan by myself. However, I still remember that the Colombian congratulated the victorious Japan instead of pouring beer on us. Supporting Japan in the face of danger! I love Japan so much. So, you're way off track. . . Let's write about why you want to raise your children overseas on another occasion.
Now to the main topic, why Spain, why Barcelona?
In the first half of the 2000s, I originally liked soccer, but from that time on I was interested in a club called FC Barcelona and I casually pursued it. Then in 2006 they came to Japan to compete in a tournament called the Club World Cup. I was moved by seeing them in person, and became even more of a fan, and the city of “Barcelona” came to have a special resonance. Also, around the same time, when I went to a restaurant called El Casteriano in Aoyama, I was impressed by the Spanish raw ham I ate, which was also the trigger for my strong interest in Spain. I became so fond of uncured ham that I bought a whole leg of uncured ham from Spain by mail order and kept it at home. However, of course, I couldn't put it in the refrigerator, and my house gradually became stinky, so I kept it on the veranda. So my neighbors might have thought I was a suspicious person. But I want to tell my neighbors at the time with pride that the object they saw on that balcony was not a corpse, but a ham!
After that, after I moved to New York in 2008, the time difference eased, so I watched almost every Barcelona match on TV. I became more and more interested, and in the fall of 2009, I visited Barcelona for the first time by myself. I stayed at the Hotel Arts in the Barceloneta area by the sea because I got a good deal, and the first bar I went to was Vaso de Oro, a famous bar with delicious steaks. I would like to write about recommended spots such as bars in the future.
When I was watching the famous Sagrada Familia, a woman who claimed to be from Osaka asked me if I wanted to go with her. It's a so-called reverse Nan. But I completely ignored him. At the time, I was single and didn't have a girlfriend, so it was a happy invitation. But he probably didn't care about him at all. Because at that time I had already fallen in love with the city of Barcelona. I'm clumsy, so I can't do two forks.
It was a short stay of only three days, but I fell in love with this city, with its bright blue sky, delicious food, warm climate, kind people, and charming townscape. Then, while being pulled back, I returned to New York. see more
