Top 5 Favorite Places in Spain Complete Edition

Hello! How are you all doing in the middle of May?

Since children go to school from September to June here, there is a strong feeling that June is the end of the year. So, around this time in May, I was indulged in the thought that another year would be over in May.

Well, this time, I would like to announce the only remaining first place because it is the final version of Spain's favorite places. Let's look forward to the appearance of the first place!

Let's go!

First place. . . . . .

It is "people".

In fact, I think there are pros and cons to this, especially in Catalonia, where I live, compared to other parts of Spain, it is said that people are cold, curt, and never apologize. smile

However, as far as I can feel, everyone is kind and good people. That's why I don't feel bad about human relationships in my daily life. For me, this is the most important thing.

In fact, I would like to write what kind of place is good.

First, I think there is very little discrimination against Asians compared to other countries. Rather, there are quite a lot of people who are pro-Japanese.

This is thanks to our grandfathers and grandmothers who have built up a wonderful Japanese culture and made Japan's good reputation known to the world for generations. We must be deeply grateful to our ancestors. I feel that the old people have contributed to Japan more than what I can see.

In addition, there are many people here who like Japanese food, Japanese culture such as manga, and Japanese customs. For some reason, the Whatsapp profile picture of the person I exchanged most recent contact with was Kinnikuman. Personally, I wanted it to be Saint Seiya.

In particular, the popularity of manga seems to have been amazing for decades, and it seems that people of the same sex as me grew up watching Japanese manga such as Captain Tsubasa, Dragon Ball, and Kinnikuman from a young age. Doraemon and Crayon Shin-chan are still airing on major channels every day. I don't think that Shin-chan's dirty joke can't be translated well into Spanish. . .

Since the start of Corona, there have been many hate crimes against Asians, mainly in the United States, and every time I saw the news, my heart tightened as an Asian. This should not happen.

However, even after the corona outbreak here, I have never been harassed for being Asian. Was it because I was so tanned that I had dark skin that Mexicans mistook me for? . .

No, I'm a typical Japanese who prefers sushi to tacos and Riki Choshu to nacho libre. I don't remember being discriminated against here.

Barcelona is located in the northeastern part of Spain, so the French border is less than two hours by car. Three years ago, I crossed the border and went to Carcassonne, a town in the south of France, where I was harassed.

Discrimination in 2 minutes after crossing the border. Sato's rice unintentionally! I wanted to go ahead and do it.

Of course, not all French people are like that, and I think there are many pro-Asian people. However, I hear similar things from my Japanese friends living in France, and I get similar impressions from people in England and parts of the United States.

After all, economically strong countries have a certain amount of pride, and they may have a subconscious mind that they can't stand being defeated by Asians.

Neighborhood socializing is pretty easy here too.

When I lived in NY, I didn't have any neighbors. Speaking of communication, it was only when I was warned not to put the stroller in the hallway or leave the umbrella. Maybe they just hated me for farting more than most people, but I have a very good relationship with my neighbors here.

In particular, the family who lives diagonally upstairs invited me to their villa by the sea, and my wife is a doctor, so when my child is sick, she will come to see me at home. I have received it (although I receive it more often than I do), and I am indebted to it.

Also, Catalans are said to be stingy enough to split the bill even if they go out to dinner together, but they always give presents. Christmas, Sant Jordi (Valentine's Day in Catalonia), souvenirs when traveling, and the feeling of wanting to make people happy is similar to Japanese people.

However, it is also possible that I am sad and blessed in various ways because I resemble the appearance of the people who live in the park with my unkempt white hair and long hair.

If so, I may not be able to receive presents in the future. It's because I recently cut my hair so clean that even Tamori was stuck in it. Let's see what happens next.

Actually, I was called stingy when I was a securities man. So it may have been originally Catalan temperament.

If I remember correctly, it was my second year at the company.

At the end of the year event, the department ranked various items based on a pre-questionnaire and announced the top prizewinners. For example, top 5 people who seem popular, top 5 fashionable, and so on. So I was chosen as one of the four stingy kings of the department. The other three people are all in their 40s, have families, and understand the desire to save money.

I am 24 years old, in my second year as a working adult, and I entered a foreign company as a new graduate. . .

After all, they may have noticed that I secretly brought home milk that was close to its expiration date, and that I always got off the taxi just before the meter went up. I couldn't deceive the seniors' eyes as I stared at the taxi meter with an amazing expression, and I suddenly tried to get off in an empty place.

However, as I got older, I corrected my stingy route and often treated my juniors to treats. I was particularly fond of that junior group of three, who had now become super-famous, so I treated the other juniors to ramen and treated them to something pretty good. However, even now, more than 10 years later, he is condescending and talks about "I bought you a lot at that time", so I think he's probably quite annoyed. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize and say no more.

As I was writing this, my wife next to me muttered that she didn't treat me well. I want to be careful not to keep saying that for 10 years.

Okay, too much talking. This is common with other foreign countries, but Spain is also unusually kind to children, and everyone loves children from the bottom of their hearts.

As I wrote before, I like Japan so much that even people on the right side are surprised. The only thing I can't accept is being too strict with children. I'm nervous about getting on the train, and it's hard to go to a restaurant with a small child.

Here, there are almost no places where you can't go with a child, even if it's a high-class store, and it's okay if you make a little noise in public places such as trains. Even if you kick the ball around there and hit the old man's head, he will definitely laugh and forgive you.

My older child, whose name is only Rock, is quite noisy. Now that he is 8 years old, he has calmed down a lot.

In Japan, people would certainly look down on you and get mad at you, but here you'll be praised by strangers, saying, "You're good. You should sing more." Of course, I don't know which is the right way to raise a child, but at least I can take my child anywhere without accumulating too much stress.

When I lived in America, I could only rely on people I was really close with, but here I feel that there are many people who will help me regardless of my gains and losses, and who will get along with me. Nosy in a good way. Even if you don't understand the language, you won't be fooled, and you will patiently teach me various things. From the supermarket clerk to the grandma who walks past my house, I now know everyone and have a conversation every time I see them.

The only thing I would like you to stop is asking me to go to a Japanese restaurant over there, recommending places that Japanese people obviously don't do, and asking for my impressions. I'm at a loss as to what to say. A recent recommendation was Oishii Ramen. Naming sense. . .

Especially in the last two years, there were times when I was mentally tough due to Corona, but the reason why I was able to always enjoy myself was because people around me extended a warm hand to us who came from a faraway place called Japan. It's nothing else.

So I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you. Even after more than 10 years, I want to keep saying this without forgetting it.

Last but not least, I would like to introduce my husband's favorite items, who are known as Don Konishi of Wall Street ! Because it is an EC site for children's clothing. smile

I can imagine that your child will look great in the X2!
